脱炭素は我々の共通の目標ですが，その背後で予期せぬ資源利用が生じる場合があります．我々はそれを「資源パラドックス問題」と呼んでいます．この問題を解決するために，自然科学と社会科学の両視点から研究を進めています
Decarbonization is our common goal, but it sometimes induces unexpected resource use. We call it the "resource paradox problem. To solve this problem, we are conducting research from both natural and social science perspectives.

廃棄物からの有価金属回収
Metal recycling from wastes
廃棄物の有効利用は多くの研究者が進めていますが，我々は廃棄物と廃棄物を組み合わせて有価物を回収する方法に注目しています

マイクロ波メタラジー
Microwave metallurgy
電子レンジでよく知られるマイクロ波ですが，これを化学反応に応用すると，高速化・低温化・異なる反応ルートの発現が起きることがあります．我々はそれを活用したマイクロ波メタラジー（冶金学）について研究しています

関与物質総量による資源評価
Total Material Requirement, TMR
地球温暖化に関するデータベースは多くの研究者が集めていますが，資源利用，特に「採掘活動」に関するデータベースは不十分です．我々は，関与物質総量と呼ばれる指標に注目し，誰もが使えるデータベースを構築しようとしています
We are constructing the database for an index called "total material requirement", TMR, to evaluate mining activities.
輸送・移動の最適化
Optimization of transportation
都市間の移動や輸送を最適化するための研究を行っています．また，自転車を活用した環境影響低減にも注目しています．
We conduct research to optimize short, middle, and long mobility and transportation. We also focus on the use of bicycles to reduce environmental impact.
ライフサイクル評価と物質フロー分析
LCA and MFA
実際に開発した材料やプロセスをライフサイクル思考に基づいて評価をしています．また物質フロー分析により資源ロジスティクスの評価も行っています．
We evaluate developed materials and processes based on life cycle thinking. We also evaluate resource logistics by material flow analysis.
